                            GH Update for 10/07/94
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

I want to take a minute here to comment on the recent announcement by Kathy
Ellington not to describe Miguel scenes in her Monday updates. I was as
dismayed as others that she would have the utter audacity to determine
unilaterally what should go into her own writings done on her own time. What
does she think this is a free country? Anyway, I want reassure you that I will
continue to objectively and unbiasedly describe Miguel scenes in my Friday
updates despite the fact that his pathetic performances are so bad that a four
year old would be booed off the stage at a parent's night school play. In
fact, in an effort to make up for the Kathy induced Miguel deficit, this week I
will be adding extra Miguel scenes to my update.

Scene 1
Amy goads Damian into walking therapy, but he whines continuously. During the
conversation, Amy spills the beans about Katherine being in ICU. Upon hearing
this, Damian immediately demands to see her.
Scene 2
Miguel tells Lily that he is uncomfortable going out with a woman with longer
hair than he has.
Scene 3
Ruby is back slinging hash at Kelly's, and when Sonny comes in she gives him
grief until he tells her that Luke and he are now business partners.
Scene 4
Jack Boland rants about Luke's agitating to Edward and Lee. Edward tells them
Sean believes he is the prime suspect in Bradley Ward's murder. Edward
explains about Luke, his gun, and Bradley's murder. The others express
ignorance. They all decide that Frank Smith is the logical suspect. Lee says he
clearly remembers the night Bradley was killed. Jack Boland continues to blame
Luke and Justus for the continued pressure.
Scene 5
Luke comes to Kelly's to meet with Sonny. He asks him about Damian Smith.
Scene 6
Damian visits the comatose Katherine, who is spouting tubes from every orifice.
Meanwhile Amy blabs every detail about the case including insinuating that
someone tried to kill Katherine. Damian asks to be left alone and talks to her
about the past. Meanwhile we hear Katherine's disembodied voice supposedly
emanating from her conscious mind. Eventually, Amy retrieves him while the
voice from beyond begs him to stay.
Scene 7
Bobbie asks Tony if sharing the grief of BJ's death meant as much to him as it
did to her. She tries to get him to try again to reconcile, but he says he
can't seem to get by the image of her playing "The Nurse and the Nasty M.D."
with another man.
Scene 8
Lois tells Miguel that she thinks his new CD is best suited for use as coasters
for bar drinks.
Scene 9
Monica, smiling broadly, comes to see Alan to tell him the good news that,
barring any new evidence, Sean has agreed to call off the Ray Conway
investigation. She tells him that Lois told all, but without evidence Sean has
no case. Alan says he doesn't like the sound of what she's saying.
Scene 10
Luke asks Sonny about the Hong Kong Canton Bank. Sonny tells him it's the
largest money laundering bank in Asia.
Scene 11
Sean reveals to Miguel that the WSB has determined that he is the prime reason
Puerto Rico will never become the 51st state.
Scene 12
Back in his room, Damian bellows that he needs pain killers. When Tony tries
to explain that his little jaunt to see Katy Bell over did it and caused his
pain, Damian accuses him of deliberating withholding his medication to make him
suffer. Damian taunts Tony about his having sex with Bobbie. Tony gets
infuriated almost to the point of attacking Damian, but starts to leave when
Bobbie comes in to check out the commotion.
Scene 13
Brenda suggests to Lois that they get Milli Vanilli to lip-sync for Miguel's
next concert.
Scene 14
Alan accuses Monica of flirting with Sean to get him to drop the case. Monica
is flattered that he would still find her attractive enough to get jealous
over.
Scene 15
Sean meets with Jack Boland and asks for anything that could link Edward with
Bradley Ward's murder. Jack tells him that Edward, Lee, and he were partners.
When Sean says he knows they dug up dirt on Bradley, Jack says that wasn't very
hard. Sean asks about the days before the murder; eventually, Jack reveals that
Edward was in PC and not Long Island the night of the murder.
Scene 16
The EPA determines that when Miguel washed his hair, it caused a larger oil
slick the the Exxon Valdez.
Scene 17
Luke tells Ruby about his plans to get Damian, and how Damian is tied into the
money laundering Hong Kong Bank.
Scene 18
Bobbie chews out Damian and taunts him about his paralysis calling him "half a
man," and saying how the "shoe is on the other foot." This time it's Damian
who gets so angry he tries to attack her but collapses on the floor in rage.
Scene 19
Luke determines that multiple companies use the same Hong Kong bank account and
that Frank Smith, using an alias, sits on the board of directors of all the
companies. [This is what they consider hidden? An alias name. Jeez, a better
job is usually done by guys trying to hide assets from a divorce settlement.]
Scene 20
Miguel tells Felicia in strictest confidence that he is suffering from
substance abuse. He reveals he's "hooked on phonics."
Scene 21
Edward Q pays a surprise visit to Mae. "MaryMae," he says solemnly, "this has
gone far enough."
