                           General Hospital Update
                           Tuesday, October 4 1994
Whew, September is over. Enough with the quicky reviews, onward to full
fleshed synopsis. BTW: In sympathy with the Monday updater, i will not post
today anything doing with Miguel. And thanks Sharon for feeling in.

Mac picks up a scarf somewhat wistfully. Robin comes in a bit late due to the
homework and assignments she has finished for the week. The great guilt trip
trick is working wonders. Robin is as Mac says "Acting as if the old Robin is
back". Robin asks if she can help with anything, Mac says no, there is
something he wants to tell her. He tells her about Filly and the pop. Robin
asks how could Frisco be the father, its been months? Mac gives her a look,
and then tells her he knew for a while but that tests had to determine if it
was his or Frisco. Robin feels sorry Mac who admits that he feels awful about
it. The two of them bond.  Stone comes by and Mac lets him stick around.
Robin tells Stone about Filly and how guilty she feels about lying to Mac.
Stone says he's willing to stand by Robin if she wants to tell Mac the truth.

An obviously pregnant Filly comes into Maxie's room and tells her that a
sibling is coming. Maxie asks if this means Daddy is coming home. Filly tries
to explain that one doesn't follow the other. Maxie doesn't understand the
complexities & Filly says she'll try again later. Maxie also expresses
concern over losing status in life as #1 child, but is assauged. Filly won't
say if it is a boy or girl & puts Maxie back to sleep with tears in her eyes.

Brenda is goofing off in the office when Lois comes in. Brenda pretends to be
busy but Lois calls her on it. Lois asks why Brenda didn't attend the Q
family meeting. She wasn't invited, besides she wants to hear what happened
from Lois. Lois asks isn't Brenda even a bit curious about the sirens. What
sirens? Brenda asks, she had headphones on. Lois replies that if there is any
justice in the world, KatyBel is now dead as a doorknob. Brenda is shocked.
Lois tells her that KatyBel took a header down the stairs. Brenda has Lois
repeat the whole story. KatyBel wants Lois to divorce N/Ed and then Ned marry
KatyBel, otherwise bigamy. Lois refuses, divorce is too easy a punishment to
N/Ed. Ned & KatyBel through accusations and threats at each other, KatyBel
stormed out went up the stairs, passed out for some reason and fell down the
staircase banging her head on the marble foyer floor. (while telling the
story Lois can hardly contain herself and words get out very herky jerky.
Good acting or trouble with memorizing lines?) The Q drs apply CPR and such.
Lois decided to wait it out in the studio. One thing Lois found out is that
the Q's have too many rooms & Ned hates KatyBel. Brenda says 'told you so'.

Justus comes in and tells MaeMay about the meeting with Luke and Kylie.
Kylie's father had the investigation called off due to pressure from Ed Q.
Seems that Ed Q. thought that Bradly commited suicide and that if the
investigation went forward, the judge's daughter would be publicized. Justus
figures that since Ed Q was a political enemy, his gun fired the bullet and
he had the inquiry squashed, Ed Q must be guilty. MM perks up and says
that it is impossible for Ed Q to be the murderer. Justus wants to know how
MM can be so sure. MayMae claims 6th sense feeling that Ed Q didn't do it.

Keisha comes in and sees MM sulking. She assumes it is because of their
argument over Jason. MM deflects Keisha, they hug and MM goes back to sulking
in her rocking chair. MM is definitely worried about more news coming out. MM
starts daydreaming about a 1940s nightclub with her singing an old blues song
& a white navy guy. While the song plays, we see Mac with the scarf and Filly
daydreaming in Maxi's bed about Frisco.

Back at the Q's Alan is back from the hospital and bumps into Ed Q in the
den. KatyBel has fractured skull and Tony (Tony???) is operating. Worse,
blood tests show that the medication that Lila and Monica are taking in great
qualities. KatyBel was poisoned by someone in the house. Ed Q is really
miffed and demands everyone present for a meeting. Alan tells Monica the news
and helps her down. Everyone is shuffled into the den when Ed Q demands to
know where the hell Ned was. Well, Ned is outside the gatehouse, window
peeping inside to Lois & Brenda talking about Ned's dislike for KatyBel. Ned
knocks and Lois opens the door. She sees Ned, he says "Lois, my darling",
BAMM as Lois slams the door in his face! Lois tells Ned his act doesn't play
with her through the closed door as Ned re-knocks. Brenda says that is not
very nice, to which Lois says "ask me if I care". Brenda pleads Ned's case as
Ned opens a window to talk. Lois closes the window, right on Ned's hands.
After reopening & then immediately closing the window, Lois tells Ned to go
home. Ned says he IS home, to which Lois replies with:
                         L I N E   O F  T H E   D A Y
          "Oh, then go to your room!" Lois takes Brenda to another room.
Their little discussion is interupted by AJ calling and telling Lois that Ed
Q wants the newlyweds at a family meeting. Lois tells Ned the news and amends
that on the way over Ned is not to speak to or touch her.

Ok, the meeting starts as the first thing we see is Ned sticking his hand in
the ice bucket. Ed Q delivers the poison news. Commotion erupts, Lois tries
to say something, Ned shouts for quiet & gives Lois a sweet look. Lois
returns an exasperrated glance, then asks if Ed Q is suggesting that someone
in the house tried to kill KatyBel. Ed Q says no, someone in the room! Next
follows a great comedy routine, which i will post as an addendum this
weekend. To summarize they discuss who has the aptitude to do it when Sean
drops by. They all greet him with smiley faces and try to small talk with
him. Sean wants to Ed Q, alone. As the two of them talk in the hall, the rest
of the family try to figure out why Sean is there. After all, the hospital
didn't report the KatyBel situation. In the hall, Sean [stupidly] tells Ed Q
everything he has about Ed Q influencing the judge, plus motive. Ed Q defends
himself and parries Sean off [it helped that Sean is an idiot]. Ed Q comes
back to the room and tells people that Sean was there about the Bradley case,
throwing Lois for a loop. Ed Q demands that the culprit step forward. Of
course no one does. Ed Q then accuses Lois who leaves in a huff, slamming the
door in Ned's face. Ned growls at Ed Q who says he did it to get her at the
room. Ed Q tells all that the family must offer up the culprit on their own.
