                            GH Update for 09/23/94
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

Scene 1
Ned arrives on Lois' doorstep to plead his case, but encounters her father who
is understandably more interested in turning the former cock-of-the-walk into a
capon. [Update note for the barnyard challenged: a capon is a castrated
rooster.]
Scene 2
Lucy compliments Felicia on her detective prowess, but then questions her on
why Kevin is so grumpy lately. Felicia manages to sidestep the issue
temporarily.
Scene 3
Stone tells Robin they need $300 to hire a driver so they won't be able to see
the concert. [Jeez, who are they trying to get Kato Kaelin?] Robin suggests
they lift Mac's spare keys and "borrow" his car. She says if he won't come
she'll go alone. Stone is very wary, but like most men when forced to choose
between their better judgment and even the remotest chance of sex, well, let's
just say the plan was not out of the question, and he agrees to distract Mac so
she can get the spare keys. Stone strikes up a dumb conversation with Mac about
his returning to school [Stone not Mac]. Robin returns and says they must leave
to catch the bus since seats were now available.
Scene 4
Lucy continues to try to "bond" with Felicia who rather not be bonded to her.
Lucy finally demands outright that Felicia admit to being pregnant and to say
who the father is.
Scene 5
Lois' mother berates Ned for what he did to Lois despite his desperate attempts
to explain. Eventually, Lois comes in and says she'll listen to Mr. Ashton.
Scene 6
As Robin and Stone drive to the concert in Mac's car, they suddenly become
aware of a foul smell in the car. Robin turns to Stone and snaps angrily,
"Stone, you slob, I told you not to eat one of those Outback Double Bean
Burritos before the trip." "Me," he replies insulted, "when was the last
time you used one of those female freshener things they show on TV?" After
several minutes of exchanging accusations, they decide they must have run over
a skunk.
Scene 7
Lucy relentlessly questions Felicia until she finally admits she's pregnant,
but says it's not Kevin's to Lucy's relief. Felicia advises Lucy not to keep
imagining threats where there are none since Kevin cares for her (Lucy) though
Felicia can't figure out why. Eventually, Lucy agrees and tells her not to
bother Kevin that night as he'll be busy.
Scene 8
Later that night, a sexily clad Lucy comes to see Kevin with more than dinner
on her mind. She wants to know if Felicia's awkward problem is the reason for
his blue funk lately. He says no, and Lucy slithers around and begins to
massage his shoulders. [Male brain beginning to disengage.]
Scene 9
Ned tries to explain about his lies, deceits, adultery, and sundry other
misbehaviors, but Lois is unforgiving and bitter. When he attempts to kiss
her, she belts him in the gut and throws him out.
Scene 10
Robin and Stone sit dejectedly in the skunk stench. They are worried that the
car will never smell the same. [These kids are really dumb. Just go back, pick
up the dead skunk. Go home, park the car in the garage, and stuff the skunk
under the tire. Mac will believe he backed over it in the garage. Remember,
he's a spamhead.]
Scene 11
Lucy begins trying to seduce Kevin by removing his shoes and letting her hair
slowly fall down while relating an erotic fantasy story. [Insert disgusting
grunting noises here.] She begins to nuzzle his neck ... [Sorry, brain
disengaged at this point]
Scene 12
Lucy and Kevin tussle around on the floor, but suddenly it's carpets
interruptus when Kevin pushes her off saying he can't. She [and I] are
incredulous, but he insists he's doing them both a favor. [Now, I'm willing to
believe in aliens and freezing cities, but this is too much.] He says he aches
for her, but he doesn't trust her because of the bet and Luke and Damian. She
tells him they're nothing, but she won't give up the bet saying that's just his
excuse for wallowing in his self pity. When she asks if Felicia knows what his
problem is, he says yes. She tells him she hates that. Eventually, she leaves,
but it's clear she hasn't given up yet. [This scene was very good, but
difficult to describe. You really need to see and hear Lynn Herring and Jon
Lindstrom; Lynn is wonderful, and the chemistry is excellent.]
Scene 13
Mac finds Felicia crying. She's frustrated at the waiting for the paternity
test results. Mac says he'll always respect her wishes even if the child is
his, but if it's Frisco's he'll still be there for her.
Scene 14
Stone and Robin return home reeking of skunk. Stone tells her he turned back
the odometer [talented guy], so she should go home, and he'll return the keys.
Scene 15
In a gauzy dream sequence, Kevin does some thigh smooching on what appears to
be Lucy, but suddenly turns out to be a waterlogged Grace-corpse-image which
says, "You want me dead!"
Scene 16
Mac gets into his car and immediately is overcome by skunk stench. "Damn," he
frowns, "I've got to stop eating those Double Bean Burritos. The smell never
seems to clear out."
Scene 17
Ned sits in his car sadly singing, "Goodbye, my Coney Island girl," while
simultaneously Lois removes her wedding ring.
