                    breaking apart in the present

Hmm, no substitute seen, so here goes another quick one. It is yet another
stormy Tuesday in Port Charles.

Justus tells MaeMae that he is going to run for the Councilmans'
position.[aren't there residency requirements?] He asked who his grandfather
was, but MaeMae won't tell and no pictures. Se does tell Justus, that she was
young, had the attention and respect of the guy so it was done. Edward
comments on the corruptness of Blake and Lila brings up, quite tartly, that
Edward bribed Blake. Lila claims that she held her tongue in the past when
Edwrd did unscrupulous things, to which Edward ripost that she never held her
toungue about anything. Some how, the conversation turns to KatyBel and how
Lila feels the Q's deserve her. Edward feels its best to make the best of it.

Luke is making breakfast for Lucky [where is Laura being hidden?] when they
pick up the phone messages from the machine. In the comedic part of the show,
the 2 L's find out Foster has been arrested, Lucky goes to claim the dog,
Luke and Sonny come in disguise and dupe Officers Johnson & Gomez [hey,
Johnson is a proven dope, but Gomez?] with Lucky keeping Johnson's arms full
at a crucial point. The Fowlers come by and raise hell when it comes out that
some phonies took Foster and bring Sean down on Johnson's neck. Luke & Lucky
come back and fess up. They decide to present a show for the Fowlers.

Lois goes to Tif to get another look at Ned Ashton on film. Tif wants a story
on L&B and Miguel. Tif can't understand how Lois & Ned haven't met. Lois uses
a cover that Ned looks just like her ex brother-in-law. She then goes to the
Q's mansion where Edward&Lila tell her she looks awful. Lois asks they are
doing and mentions that she finally saw Ned. Edward says nonsense, he saw the
two of them leave that very room a couple of months ago. Lois flashes back to
when she slept over the Q's and they had bialys for her. Ned,Brenda,Lois and
Edward where in the room together and Ned made up the story of meeting a
financial backer for L&B. Edward leaves for work, Lila mentions she is very
fond of Ned. Lois asks for more info, Lila says it would just bore Lois, in
reply Lois says LOTD(tm) "I find Ned, (pregnant pause) Fascinating."     Lila
gives a brief history of the life of Ned. Lois is rapt, on the verge of tears
at times, about to lambast at others. Lois asks about music, Lila says Ned
did do a band in high school.

Mac has dirt on KatyBel for Ned. She was married, worked at a PR firm and had
an affair with a client, Joe Healy, while embezzling from him. The firm found
out about the stealing, Damien came in convinced the firm not to tell Healy
about the theft since firing her would be enough. Ned asks if Healy would
prosecute if told the whole story. Mac says yep.

Miguel asks Mac if Lily has called, she hasn't. Robin comes in and hears the
story. [Request: Would people mind if i FF'ed through Miguel? This is awful.]
Robin finds the reservation Lily made, under name of Priscela Lopez. Mig call
hotels and finds that a Lopez just checked out of PC Hotel for the airport.

Ned comes in, kisses Lila and finds out Lois just left full of questions.
