From: chips@eskimo.com (:crp:) Subject: GH: Update 830 Tues Date: 31 Aug 1994 08:22:03 -0500 General Hospital Update Tues Aug 30 1994 Themes: Stuck in a cave alone Alone within at home Parenting alone Its the next morning. The weather is very stormy with thunder & lightning. Damien is walking around the dark catacombs yelling for Bobi. He finds a piece of metal & marks the wall to spot his wandering & use as a lever. He walks around, couple of false leads & stumbles some. Eventually he gets back to his mark, where he tries to dig out. Bobi visits the Q mansion, introduced by Reginald, to check up on Monica. Alan tells Bobi that Monica had an OK night but that he is worried that Monica will insist on going through the ordeal alone, leaving him out. He can't quite figure out how to deal with the situation and/or Monica. Bobi suggests that Monica needs physical and time space. Monica goes to her dressing room in her robe, we can see the bandage. She looks in the mirror and [in one of the scariest scenes i've seen on soaps] cuts the bandage and sees. She breaks up in tears then returns to her bed. She is sitting up when Bobi knocks to visit. Bobi notices that Monica has removed the dressing, evidently Monica was unable to make the change. Bobi offers to change the bandage & Monica challenges Bobi by opening her robe to show her the 'surgical strike'. Monica spews her hate about her past few days. [umm, i'm not really doing justice to this scene, it was pretty painfull & well played out.] Bobi gives encouragement & talks about old times at the hospital. She leaves and updates Alan, who visits Monica. She tells him she wants to be alone. Lucky & Sly are getting ready to door-to-door sales of worms. Luke fails in getting them to stay in from the rain & in explaining how "strike while the iron is hot" applies to selling worms. The door bell rings, its Lucy who wants to talk to Luke about Damien. Lucy sits down on the couch where upon Foster drools on her lap. The boys talk about their venture & at Lukes urging show her the worms. The boys leave and Lucy tries to be her own best character witness. She then offers to join forces to get Damien. She tells Luke about the bet extension and Damiens double cross with Deception. Luke is amused by the proposition and says L I N E O F T H E D A Y "I like Miss Coe, You live up to your reputation." Lucy flusters, but Luke promises to think about it. Luke goes to the Q's and asks Alan, 'What is a Lucy Coe?'. Alan tells Luke that he thinks Lucy is contrite about the bet & at Luke's behest will look into the Deception buyout. Alan asks if Luke knows what Bobi is up to. The boys first hit is Fily, who calls LuLu Leslie. Maxy comes out & they all chat. Maxy gets confused about the reference to Robins eating worms. Somehow, Kevin gets there. He gives a scientific overview and makes a rather bad pun about the Diet of Worms and Martin Luther. Maxy asks if the boys needs to leave when they get up to go. Kev invites himself over for dinner. In an unfathomable scene, the boys are sitting on a stoolstop when they are confronted by a couple of older kids. Foster's growling saves the day.
