By: kathy%gundog@lbl.gov (Kathy Ellington)

GH update for last week from the Contra Costa County (Calif) Times:
General Hospital, the week of August 15 through August 19...
Monica valiantly tried to deal with the mastectomy. Justus spoke with
Kylie who revealed that she admired Bradley and how he helped her with
her life and political career. She also revealed that she and Bradley
encountered hostility after they fell in love and that someone ran their
car off the road one night. Justus was stunned when Kylie said she lost
Bradley's baby as a result of the car accident. She told Luke that she
thinks Frank Smith caused Bradley's disappearance. Sonny located Lily,
the girl Miguel loved when he lived in Puerto Rico. Lily worried about
Miguel's safety, should she see him again. Justus agreed to help Luke who
thinks Councilman Blake was behind the threats to kill Laura.

HERE BE THE SPOILER:
Kevin debated about whether to tell Felicia that he thinks he may have
killed his former girlfriend, Grace. [Eeeeeek!]

General Hospital Update for Monday, August 29

A day of Kulture Klash in old Port Chuckles. Most of the action takes place
in the park while folks laid on blankets, drank wine, and listened to lite
classical music. The update will be "Johnny-Style".

Katie wants to drag Nedling to a concert in the PC park. He agrees, but only
after ascertaining that Lois will be in the studio all day, mixing Eddie
Maine's latest hit. Unbeknownst to the Nedster, Brenda and Sonny drop by the
studio and persuade Lois to join them for the concert.

At General Hospital, Alan chats briefly with Bobbie. She's got the night off
and he suggests that she and Tony attend the concert together. Sorry, but
she's got other plans that include Damian. She hints that she's out for
revenge; Alan warns her to keep away from him.

In the park Luke, Sly, Foster and Lucky spread their blanket on the grass and
prepare to chomp to Chopin. [Lucky - time for a haircut, kid] Lucky notices
that his dad is wearing a "wire" (Luke's got a listening device taped to his
body). The kids think it's cool that Luke is out to trap a bad guy and they
offer to act as look-outs.

Kevin and Lucy share a blanket and a bottle of Chardonnay in another part of
the park. Damian drops by briefly and spreads a little ill-will. D's on his
way to a blind date. He leaves after successfully needling Kevin. Lucy spots
Luke and prepares to "visit" his picnic blanket. Kevin tells her that if she
leaves him to pursue Luke (and the bet with Damian), then don't bother to come
back. Lucy doesn't believe him and toddles over to visit Luke + Crew.

Mac arrives then, with Stone and Robin in tow. Kevin invites them to share his
blanket and they agree. The kids wander off to seek some privacy, and Kevin
offers Mac some wine, and he accepts. They clink glasses, drink, and start to
chat [is this the beginning of the oft-promised homosexual storyline?].

Sonny and Brenda arrive; she wants to tell Miguel about Lily but Sonny forbids
her to blab. What if Miguel gets his hopes up and Lily never contacts him?
He'd be crushed. They're waiting for Lois, who was going to change clothes
and meet them there.

In another part of the park, Damian has caught sight of his mystery woman.
Bobbie has changed into her disguise and starts leading him through the trees,
to the entrance of the catacombs.

Lucy tells Luke that she's a shareholder of ELQ stock and sits in on board
meetings. She says she could be persuaded to "spy" on the board meetings and
let the anti-incinerator forces know what ELQ is planning. Luke is intrigued,
or pretends to be, and says he'll consider it. Then Luke spies Councilman
Blake stroll by and he leaves Lucy to follow him.

Lois finally arrives and the group starts to eat, drink, and chat. They talk
about keeping secrets and how damaging it can be. Lois wishes that Eddie was
with them. Uh oh! Just behind Lois Brenda spies the Ashtons. Yep, it's Ned
and Katybell, blanket and hamper in hand, looking for a nice place to squat.

Meanwhile, at GH, Monica is reluctant to go home. She feels safe at GH and
doesn't want to face the world yet. She and Alan wrangle around a bit and he
finally coaxes her.

Bobbie leads Damian into the catacombs. She drops roses to mark the way and
he, ape-like, follows the trail. He walks on, going deeper into the tunnels.
Finally he stops and says aloud, "I'm not going any farther until you show
yourself!" Suddenly, Bobbie steps from the shadows and removes her disguise.

Ned and Katy are within yards of Lois but Lois' back is to them. However, they
ARE in Brenda's line of sight. To avert a crisis, Brenda stands up and then
claims to be sick. Ned sees her then, then sees HER and throws a blanket over
Katybell and himself. Brenda, gallant friend that she is, faints and falls
to the ground. She allows Lois and Sonny to help her out of the park. On
the way out, Lois trips over the blanketed forms of Ned and Katy. Close one!

Mac and Kevin continue to drink and philosophize. Lucy tries to return to
their blanket but Kevin runs her off. She winds up glomming food from Sean and
Tiff.

Luke and Councilman Blake discuss Laura's "accident". Luke tries to bribe
Blake into changing his mind on the toxic thingy for $25K. Blake says he's
not interested and strides off. Soon thereafter, Sean and Luke powwow and
Luke tells Sean that Blake didn't bite right away, but he's sure the politico
will be back for the moolah.

In the catacombs, Damian tells Bobbie that he thought she was the mystery
woman all along. He says that her obsession with him is sick and why doesn't
she get on with her life? In reply, she produces a 2-foot long pair of wire
cutters from her bulwark and proceeds to cut the wires that supply light to
the tunnel. They are plunged in "darkness" [or what passes for darkness on
TV]. Damian starts calling to her in the dark; she scampers by him and heads
out a tunnel. Damian is groping blindly along, calling to Bobbie who stays
just ahead of him. He sounds angry and a little desperate. She's just ahead,
around the bend, taunting him. She asks him how long it will be before
somebody misses him. Finally, she leaves him there; he shouts impotently into
the darkness.
