The Devil Has Met His Match Don't Get Mad Get Even - Soon! Casting A Disaster ------------------ Ned visits a casting director in NYC. He wants to hire 4 actors to put on a performance. She turns him down when it's not for a commercial or an industrial film for ELQ. She's legitimate and doesn't cast actors just to satisfy the whim of some CEO. Ned changes her mind, it's only a joke on his wife, and besides he will throw lots of ELQ business her way and pay top dollar. He just wants a few hours of improvisation. Ned's requirements for the actors: they must be able to act uninteresting, boorish and obnoxious - low Shakespearean comedy. The actors audition, "Hi, I'm Marv Brinkerman and I'm in laxatives." After 4 actors have been selected Ned gives them info packets on their characters and pharmaceuticals. He warns them that his wife, Lois, is not to know they're on a job. He'll provide the wardrobe, they just have to hate what she serves and the music that is playing. They're to make the evening a disaster. When one of the women questions, "What if we like Lois, what is our motivation?" Ned pulls out a wad of $$, waves it....that's their motivation. Ned gives the actors their final instructions. They'll be flown on his private jet from LaGuardia the next night at 6 and a tacky rental car will be waiting for them at the PC airport. A bonus is in store predicated on the amount of boredom and dispare they induce in Lois. Ned's out to change Lois' mind about his pill pushing buddies. {Neddie, boy are you nasty!] The Post-op Blues ----------------- Luke visits a dozing Monica. He's there for just a brief visit to give Monica some of Laura's roses, to show their concern and to order her to heal. Later Bobbie visits Monica. Monica is disturbed by all her dreams about death and thoughts of chemotherapy. Bobbie "tries" to talk some sense into Monica and tells her to think positive, reminding Monica that Alan thinks the sun rises and sets with Monica and that Monica has her boys. Monica is still depressed as when Bobbie leaves she dissolves into sobs, "O God." Who Is Luke Spencer? -------------------- Lucy arrives at Damian's hotel room where he's still in his robe and preparing to eat breakfast. She questions what he's done to her. Thoughts of Luke Spencer are keeping her sleepless. She wants information about Luke from Damian, afterall she gave him background on Bobbie and suggests he must have a dossier or should be able to get one from his father. Damian isn't forthcoming until Lucy suggests she could ask around town and would mention Damian in the same breath as Frank. With that Damian agrees to feed her information as Lucy sits down to Damian's breakfast. There is more discussion about Damian's feelings about Luke and Damian admits part of the reason for the bet is to keep Luke occupied, even if Lucy should win. They agree Lucy's involvement in the bet over Bobbie is an obstacle. Damian tries to butter up Lucy but Lucy warns him she will beat Damian at his own game and goes off to find out more about Luke. And where does she goes to find out more? Tiff's, on the pretext of being horrified at what folks have done to Laura and the tactics ELQ has used to acquire the Charles Street properties. Tiff doesn't buy it and thinks Lucy is afraid of reprisals from Luke over her involvement with Damian and Bobbie. Lucy offers she could be a spy for the anti-incinerator forces since she is on the ELQ board if there really has been foul plan on the part of the pro-incinerator forces. Tiff lets her see all Tiff's video but warns Lucy that Luke doesn't like to play games and is the biggest bull detector. Tiff wonders what Lucy really wants with Luke and with that Lucy leaves. The Devil Has Met His Match --------------------------- Luke meets Kylie for drinks at the Outback. She has figured out that Luke listens more than he talks and is wary of him when he tells her it was her mention of Frank Smith that peaked his interest. When she finds out that Frank and Luke are enemies she lets him know that Frank was involved with the PC group pushing for the PC airport. Luke also finds out that at that time the Q's till lived on Long Island but that the assemblyman who turned the votes for the airport was a good friend of the Q's. Luke speculates Frank staged Kylie and Bradley's car accident which leads Kylie to the conclusion that Frank had Bradley killed and buried in his mother's back yard. Kylie admits she wasn't brave then, didn't want the Wards to suffer more or subject her father to a scandal of a black married assemblyman having an affair with a white woman. Luke doesn't blame her, Frank would have had no problem burying someone who pointed a finger at him. When Luke mentions luring Frank back to PC Kylie tries to warn Luke of Frank's true nature but Luke lets her know...he knows too well Frank's true nature. Kylie is less afraid of having the truth come out now, her father knows, but is still worried about the Wards. Luke figures the Wards won't let a little scandal get in the way of the truth [well, maybe but watch out for MaryMae.] Kylie reveals she has journals from back when she was seeing Bradley and when he disappeared and offers to look at them and let Luke know if she finds anything insightful. Don't Get Mad Get Even - Soon ----------------------------- After Luke's visit with Monica he runs into Bobbie. He tells his sister Lu is growning fast and Laura and Lu are safe. He questions how Monica really is and finds out the surgery went well but that Monica has a tough road to hoe and that a person can only take so much. Luke picks up that Bobbie isn't just talking about Monica. They talk about Damian. Bobbie is doing what Luke does..."Don't get mad get even." A plan is in the works to exploit Damian's weaknesses just like he exploited her weaknesses. She plans to make sure Damian's humiliation is made public. Back at the hotel Damian again watches the tape of Bobbie leaving the "message" bouquet. He puts a message offering to arrange a metting with this "mystery" lady on his pillow and leave the room. When he returns there is a note suggesting a meeting at 8 o'clock the next night at the waterfall entrance to the catacombs. He watches the tape of Bobbie leaving the note.
