Gh Update Thursday Aug 18

*Monica begins to deal with her surgery
Monica tells Bobbie about the lump in her breast.  They discuss
reconstructive surgery and Monica's feelings about it.  Bobbie brings
up, tactfully, that is why she has missed her mammograms...because of
the lump.  Monica asks Bobbie to be in surgery with her and Bobbie of
course agrees.  They hug.  Monica then goes back to the mansion and gets
a little tipsy on wine.  Alan comes in and she invites him to join her
and they decide to live it up and go out to dinner fancy (complete with
the jewels!)  :-)  They take their drinks onto the balcony to watch the
stars.  Alan goes inside to get something and Monica drunkenly climbs
onto the railing and tries to walk on it.  Luckily, Alan catches her and
she begins to weep about her loss of control.  She admits a fe minutes
later that she was stupid for walking on eh balcony.  The decide to go to
a dive and get some pizza, so she goes into the bathroom and changes.  As
she does she takes a long hard look at her breast.  It was a very moving
scene when she broke down and cried, alone.

*Remembering BJ
Bobbie is on her bed thinking about Monica when Tony comes in.  She tells
him about Monica and then Tony goes off on a cryptic discussion about
his anger and how everyone and everything around him is falling to hell.
He beats himself up a bit for being so angry all the time and she offers
him kind words.  She asks if they can go through BJ's things together (to
do something about them) and Tony agrees he is up to it now.  Bobbie
would like to give some of her things to GH's AIDS Pediatric ward and the
Ward House.  They reminisce about BJ and their memories of her.  Tony
tells Bobbie that she was the best possible mother for BJ.  Bobbie breaks
down at this, and they comfort each other in being sad.

*Is Lois onto Neddie?
Lois drills into Neddie about Jenny and the picture of the two of them.
Neddie denies that he had an affair with her while she was married to Ned
Ashton (how incredibly hilarious!!).  Lois admits she dislikes a woman
like Jenny who breaks men's hearts.  Ned tries to defend Jenny and says
that he understands her motives, etc etc.  She tells Neddie that she is
not as forgiving as Neddie is, and at this remark he looks constipated.
Lois wants to be the only woman in Neddie's life, and he tells her,
truthfully, that she is the only woman he has ever loved.  She melts.
Lois leaves and Brenda walks in.  Neddie stares at her and drags her out
of Lois' earshot.  Brenda says that there is a limit to the lies she will
tell for him.  She tells him to be rid of Katherine before this gets TOO
far out of hand.  :-)   Ned confides he has a plan and some goods on Katy,
and Brenda is all ears to hear.   Later on, Brenda calls her sister Julia
to chat.  Julia bitches her out about school and reminds her not to take
on too much and drop out of school.  Julia informs her that Damian was
the one who made the great offer to sell Deception to ELQ, and Brenda
KNOWS Lucy needs to hear this.

*Nightmare on...Kevin's Street
Felicia and Kevin talk about her decisions regarding her pregnancy.  She
has decided not to tell anyone until she knows who, for sure, the father
is.  She knows there is no way she can find Frisco and she is not about
to ask MAC to find him again (how funny!).  Kevin tells her he is ok with
the decision as long as she is comfortable with it herself.  She thought
he was going to try to talk her out of it, so she looks a little
shocked.  He gets up to finish a painting and looks at it and says she is
disturbed with the water in the painting.  She says it makes her want to
cry.  He complains that he cannot put feeling into his paintings.  He
puts a red streak in the water.  He has this demonic look on his
face...Felicia brings up Grace's name and he gets very defensive.  She
offers her help and he explodes, he says it was a very sick and
dysfunctional relationship.  He climed to be obsessed with her, much
like how Ryan was obsessed with Felicia (and Grace felt the same about
him).  He compares Grace to his mother:  cruel, self-absorbed,
narcissistic, and a person who could inspire primal rage.  He talks about
his mother and Ryan and how he wa able to escape her evil.  She asks what
happened to Grace and Kevin goes to his painting and makes another red
streak.  She probes more and he tells her that Grace is dead.  When
Felicia ask how she died, Kevin tells her to leave well enough alone.
Felicia offers to leave to let Kevin be alone.  Kevin lies on his couch
and drifts into sleep only to meet Ryan in his dreams.  Ryan tells Kevin
he hates the painting.  Ryan laughs at Kevin for not being able to peel
back the dark corners of his own soul.  He asks what the water in the
painting is trying to conceal..and he asks this over and over and over
again until Kevin wakes up yelling "NO!"
