                          General Hospital Synopsis
                               August 16, 1994

Laura is being blackmailed by a brunette. Stay out of the incenarator or the
daughter gets it. The blackmailer leaves the room and Laura starts screaming
for help. Security is not trusted by Laura and when Amy enters she insists
that Luke be called.

Luke is partying down with Sony,Brenda,Lois,Miguel at the Outback. He leaves
el pronto at Amy's call. Steve & Sean are in the room when he arrives. After
ripping Sean for his incompetent & corrupt force, Luke insists on taking
over. Steve says that medically Laura can be transported. Luke says fine,
ambulance tonight. Laura says 'NO'. Reason: L&L had agreed that there would
be no more running. Luke convinces Laura that it would be a strategic retreat
to get L&LL out of harms and to 'the safest place he knows'. Luke is brought
over to say ta-ta.

Fily is still anxious about telling Mac that she is pregnant. Kevin tells her
she has to do it sooner or later. Lucy is watching Kevin & Fily and confronts
Fily when she goes to the bar. Lucy leaves Fily to join Kevin. Fily
procastinates like all heck. Kevin tells Lucy that he saw how she was
watching Luke. The two of them banter a bit, all the while Kevin is watching
Fily & Mac at the bar.

Jason and Keisha come in as Luke bustles out. He tells her that he and AJ
have agreed to disagreed. Keisha tells Jason about her family's dinner and
how she used to give her father indigestion.

N/Ed is in the hot tub daydreamning about his honeymoon at Coney Island.
KatyBel comes by to join him. N/Ed is not very receptive but KatyBel
continues the foreplay. The phone rings, its Lois and she says
                         L I N E   O F  T H E   D A Y
"Eddie, did I catch you in the middle of something?" Lois invites him over to
the Outback to join Miguel. N/Ed declines the invitation and KatyBel
continues and ups the foreplay.

Lois introduces Miguel on stage to the folks.

Monica comes in to the doctor. The Doctor insists the situation is such that
Monica has no options except for surgery. And now. And a masectomy. And a
radical one  at that. Monica is fighting back and wont give permission. The
doctor finally wears her down and Monica agrees to surgery. The Dr says
great, we will do it tomorrow. Monica says no way. Monica is getting ready
for bed and staring at the mirror. Alan comes by and nuzzles her and they
start making love [love, & not sex]. ***COMMENT
Folks, i don't know if it was the music, actors or both. This scene really
got to me and had me in tears, something i'm not susceptable to doing. Major,
Major kudos to all involved. Which only made the next scene that much worse.
Geez, where was the editor?  ***ENDCOMMENT

Loud, jarring noise as we return to the Outback and this awful Miguel
singing a song which was supposed to be familar. MIGUEL MUST BE KILLED
OFF,MIGUEL MUST BE KILLED OFF,MIGUEL MUST BE KILLED OFF,MIGUEL MUST BE KILLED
OFF,MIGUEL MUST BE KILLED OFF,MIGUEL MUST BE KILLED OFF,MIGUEL MUST BE KILLED
OFF. The actors pretended to be enjoying it. We flash to KatyBel and N/Ed
lounging in the tub, N/Ed with a stunned look on his face.

Alan & Monica are lying in bed talking. Monica talks about how she was still
in training when everyone else in her class had graduated to the real thing.
How she was so jealous of a classmates who had cantolopes. Alan says he
admires how she can do the crossword puzzle in 15 minutes (and other things
about her). They hug after Monica says "I scheduled surgery."
