                            GH Update for 08/05/94
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

Scene 1
Sipping champagne, Lois and Ned travel first class aboard the ELQ jet. Ned
tells her his travel agent friend loaned it to them because Ned suggested a
therapeutic device for the guy's suffering wife. Ned slips up front to tell a
crewman to only refer to him as "Sir" and not Mr. Ashton. [Can Lois actually be
this dumb? Like the jet doesn't have a company name on it.]
Scene 2
After a day of catacomb hiking, Lucky, Luke, Bobbie, and Lucas sit around
chatting. Just as Tony arrives, he hears Lucas say he wishes his dad were more
fun like Uncle Luke.
Scene 3
When the Faking-Feminist feigns abdominal pains, her two would-be attackers
back off long enough for her to belt one and bolt for the basement, locking the
door behind her. Unfortunately, in her fear she trips, and her bowling ball
body bounces down the stairs leaving her unconscious at the bottom.
Scene 4
Tony in an effort to be more fun tells a stupid knock-knock joke. When he
hears that the took Lucas into the catacombs, he dumps on Bobbie. Eventually,
everyone leaves but Luke, and Tony expresses his perhaps over-protectiveness
about Lucas.
Scene 5
At the PC Grill, Felicia tells Kevin about Robin and the bear. She says Mac has
finally allowed Stone and Robin to see each other. He says it's about time.
Nearby, Damian phones Lucy and asks her to come to the Grill at once.
Scene 6
As Filly and Kevin continue to banter, Lucy arrives and sees them. She
immediately snaps at Damian that his plan is not going to work. Eventually, he
tells her he wants to propose an extension of their bet.
Scene 7
Luke talks to Tony about how his Abducted Amoureux was once held by the
Cassadines, and how he had to get over the fact she had played Mary and her
little lambs with Stavros.
Scene 8
Hearing no sounds from behind the locked basement door, the two thugs get
worried and leave.
Scene 9
Lois and Ned hit some turbulence and end up on the floor. [The weather called
for a period of rising pressure followed by some extreme turbulence ending with
a rapid fall off in pressure again.]
Scene 10
Tony says Luke took his wife from another man; Luke counters with the lame
excuse that he wouldn't have been able to if she didn't want him to.
Scene 11
The Prone Pregee awakens and moans, "I've fallen and I can't get up." She rubs
her bulbous belly and mutters, "Not now." [If they'd have had Medic Alert,
this would never have happened.]
Scene 12
Damian tries to goad Lucy into reversing the bet whereby he'd choose someone
for her to seduce. She resists, but then he throws Deception into the pot.
Again she resists and says no way.
Scene 13
Bobbie sneaks into Damian's room and leaves roses, a lit cigarette in a holder,
a note, and, of course, a "Sanitized for your protection" sign in the bathroom.
Scene 14
Justus tells Luke that Elizabeth Jackson had an affair with Bradley and that
Bradley was under intense pressure just before his death. Luke suggests that
maybe the murder was a lover's quarrel, but Justus doesn't think so.
Scene 15
As Lois looks out the plane window, Ned rests his head on her ample chest. "Are
those the Grand Tetons?" she asks. "I'll say," he answers. [Note for the
geographically challenged: Grand Teton is French for big breasts, so this is a
clever if somewhat crude sex joke.] He pulls out the pre-nup she previously
asked for. She makes him change a clause that gave her half his money but he
got none of hers. She tells him the money would mean nothing without him. [How
quick they change their tunes when divorce time comes around.]
Scene 16
When Lucy comes over to Kevin's table, he asks her about Damian. She doesn't
say much and can't get Kevin to commit to call her. After she leaves, Felicia
expresses disbelief that he actually likes her. He says she makes him have fun.
She asks if it's like what he had with Grace; he says no. When she asks what
happened to Grace, he abruptly pays the bill and leaves. "Gee, I wonder if he
makes love like that?" she says to herself.
Scene 17
Lucky and Luke return, but no Humongous Homemaker to be found, and they don't
hear her faint mutterings downstairs.
Scene 18
At the Brownstone, Tony apologizes to Bobbie for his earlier behavior. She says
not to sweat it; she doesn't anymore.
Scene 19
Damian returns to his room and sees the stuff Bobbie left. He immediately
calls the hotel desk and demands to see Ned, who, of course, is unavailable.
Scene 20
Foster hears the Moaning Mom-to-Be and scratches on the basement door. When
this doesn't work he pulls on Luke's pant leg, but Luke still doesn't get the
picture. Finally, in desperation, Foster rolls over and licks himself (as dogs
sometimes do). "Oh my God, Lucky," Luke immediately exclaims, "your mother!" He
breaks down the door and rushes downstairs to find his Squirming Spouse.
