Zander makes it through surgery

The doctors finish their work on Zander and place him in the ICU. He still is in danger of dying.

Elsewhere, Carly learns that Zander has been shot and confronts Sonny. She screams at him.

''It is all your fault, Sonny! He wouldn't have been there if you hadn't tried to kill him!''

''I didn't want to kill him, Carly! He is my son!''

''No he is not!'' Carly says with tears in her eyes. ''He can't be your son. He is nothing like the monster that you are. YOU are the reason that he is in the hospital, fighting to remain alive in this world and to finish his life. I can't stand to look at you right now!''

As Carly makes a mad dash to the exit, Zander opens his eyes slowly.

What happens next?
Zander sees Emily looking at him through the window.
Carly slips and falls in her enraged state.
