of how climate change comes apart and how people lived with it. Also, at least to me, the Ph.D dropout, it read like a satire of academia and yes, it was a slog, but it was also written like a dense humanities paper trying to impress people and failing to actually impress them.
The second part reads like a normal McEwan novel, so if you are a fan of his, then you'll probably like that part better.
But it was also very hit or miss on Goodreads and The Story Graph, so if you're not enjoying it, you're not enjoying it..
The thing about the first part is as it's kinda academic, it's also very easy to skim through to pick out the most important things and then move on to the second part...
