Even though I grew up watching Michael Jackson, knew 80% of what the movie showcased, and even visited the house in Gary--my sister and I loved it! I knew about his childhood and the abuse and it was still so sad to see what his life was like.
Jaafar Jackson (Jermaine's son MJ's nephew) did a phenomenal job as MJ. He impressed me. The dancing was spectacular. Now my mom wants to see it so I am going to take her to the matinee next Tuesday.
The 3rd act was a little choppy and I know that's because they cut out the entire plot about the sexual abuse accusations.

They did awesome with the Pepsi/hair tragedy. I didn't recall how bad it was. Third degree burns.
