some online research about this specific offer involving the specific financial firm and the specific restaurant? Maybe there’s a Reddit thread discussing this specific offer. There seems to be a Reddit thread for almost everything.

While on vacation, there are always people at the airport offering something free if you go listen to their timeshare or hotel loyalty program pitch. I always walk quickly through that sea of “pitchers”. I’m not going to waste any clump of hours of my vacation listening to their sales pitch. Plus there is always the possibility of wasted time plus some kind of scam.

If you do decide to go, do not give them ANY personal info. If you do give them any personal info, that could turn into one very expensive “free” meal.

ETA: I just did a quick google on “free dinner seminars” and there is a lot of info out there about them. They are a common kind of scam that targets people near retirement. My advice is for you to do some solid research first if you really want to go and find some info from sources you can trust. AARP would be a good place to start. If you do decide to go because you really want that free meal, be very strong and very careful. They will likely try to trick you. I only did a very general search because I didn’t have the names of the specific financial firm and restaurant involved. But the saying “There is no such thing as a free lunch” is a cliche for a reason. Good luck!
