Well, maybe not the fruit but I do like to get the pre-chopped onions or celery. I don't like celery and use it so sparingly, it's a waste of food for me to buy a package of it*, and chopping onions not only makes my eyes water, it makes them STING**. I've gotten better about just buying an onion and chopping it up myself (sometimes I just get green onions and use those) but sometimes I'm lazy and buy the pre-chopped onion.
* I was SO grateful at Thanksgiving when a co-worker bought a bag of celery and kindly gave me a couple stalks so I could use it for my stuffing. I still wound up tossing out half a stalk.
** Many years ago at the bindery, I was on the employee committee. We didn't have a ton of responsibilities but back then, we occasionally had lunches for everyone or did raffles for small gift cards. Once while I was on the committee, they decided we should have a hot dog lunch. Everybody was assigned something to bring (the company paid, with money usually collected from raffles, especially 50/50 raffles) and of course I was assigned chopped onions <g>. I found a bag of frozen chopped onions and just got those rather than chopping the onions myself.
