I've had two tours in Hawaii with both ending with "once in a lifetime hurricanes" (one is in
Jurassic Park), so it's probably better for Hawaii if I don't go, even though my best friend since I was in fifth grade now lives there and has given an open invitation.
I think the North Shore of Oahu is nice (Waimea, Haleiwa, Ewa Beach) and the Pali Lookout going windward. I did visit the Polynesian Cultural Center as part of a trip through the military. I did enjoy attending the University of Hawaii - Manoa.
