when I first went solar. Now, it's usually $32.
Yes, it's much lower than most people's bills. It was much lower, consistently $32, before I switched to heat pumps and mini splits. Now it fluctuates in the winter with those really big bills for about two or three months a year; but, my gas bill stays about the same all year. It's usually about $35 a month now. It was about $24, but fees went up on that, too. Before the switch to heat pumps and mini splits, the gas bill would go up to about $175 for two or three months of the year with a few months on either side being well over $24, but not as outrageous as $175.
About to sign a contract for the batteries. Almost $7K down (30% deposit), almost $15K (65%) when the installation is completed, and the balance of ~1K (5%) when it's passed the final inspection and I get the okay to operate it. Hopefully it will be done before the summer so I can see how it fills and if I still send power to the grid in the summer despite having batteries.
