I still send out Christmas cards to a number of people. I'm finally running low and can justify getting more <g>. Last Friday (I think), I was at CVS picking up some photo prints I'd ordered (because I'm old school like that) and saw a box of 16 cards that were really pretty and were on sale, but they'd only come down from $15 to $7.50. That was more than I wanted to pay, so I reluctantly passed on them. When I paid for my photos, I got two coupons: one was $1.20 in "extra care bucks" and one was $4 off ANY purchase. I thought some more about the cards and decided if they were still there yesterday when I came home from work, I'd use my coupons to get them. Well, not only were they still there, they'd been marked down again to $3.75. So I bought the cards, a box of "holiday" Ritz crackers (the everything bagel flavored ones are delicious!) that had been over $5 and were now $2.75 and a box of off brand facial tissues that were $2.39 and after using my coupons, I paid a total of $3.92 (with tax). I'm choosing to look at it as my cards were FREE...deals don't get any better than that <g>.
