I think I liked him in two movies. Innerspace and The Three Amigos. Other than that, I don't find him funny at all. It's like I can see him trying to be funny so it just comes across as the same schtick. Hell, he ruined Match Game for me. My mom and I used to watch and discuss funny moments. We loved Alec as host. I tried 10 minutes with Martin and I turned it off and deleted it from my DVR.
My mom called me afterwards and said--yeah, that was a hot mess. The mannerisms, the eye bulging, the facial expressions were just all so OTT. She deleted it as well.
I adore Meryl and Jesse Williams and even they couldn't get me to watch it LOL.
