aired.)
And one of those episodes was about another couple. So the pace works for me -- it's a slow burn and the burn is not so slow that I can't get into it, which is frequently a problem for me.
I, personally, do not need more right now because I think they're giving a lot (I also feel like only talking about hockey is like... that's hockey players. It's their entire lives.) I also feel like the subtext is the thing I'm enjoying the most. I feel like they're giving a lot in the editing, in the time they stay with the characters in close-up, with the text messages -- to me, that's compelling. I get why it might not be for others, but I don't think it's not giving enough by definition.
I"m generally not easy -- I love a good romance but I mostly find romances aren't telling a compelling enough story for me. To give an example, Mickey and Ian on Shameless are the only love story I can remember being signficantly moved by in YEARS.
That said -- I have a good idea that we are going to get a lot of feelings in the next two episodes, though, so maybe that will help? For me, the first three episodes have been about them moving to a place where the lack of communication falls into a complete breakdown, so the next step has to be figuring it out. Plus, something is clearly coming with Ilya's dad.
