i need about 2x magnification to see anything close-up, but my prescription is for distance and astigmatism.

These progressive lenses and their soft freaking focus areas means that the CLEAREST part of the 'reader' section is SO SMALL!!! and my eyes are constantly trying to sharpen the soft focus which leaves me with headaches.

and the distance part is SO high up on the lenses, if I'm wearing them to drive, I have to pull the glasses down to the very tip of my nose.

I also can't watch TV with them on, because of the same issue with driving.

so I also have my non-progressive glasses for TV watching, movies, driving, concerts and whatnot. I use the progressives when we go out to a restaurant or if i'm going shopping.

i thought it was just me, until my older sister rolled up with her TRADITIONAL bifocal lenses, the ones with the line and the half moon? She can't do the progressives, either and actually prefers the old fashioned ones. i'd rather use a magnifying glass than those old bifocals, honestly. LOL
