I was out in the garage and I noticed some blue spots on the garage floor, on the side where I park my car. For context: we have a (barely) 2 car garage and a not insignificant amount of stuff lined up along my side. In the warmer months, Dad generously lets me have the entire garage while he parks in the...I don't know the correct term for it but it's where the driveway juts out on the side (think of our driveway as a giant letter "P", with the curve of the P filled in...that's where he parks his car when it's not snowing). Last week, we reverted to the usual winter parking situation and I...am an exceptionally adequate driver. Maneuverability is not my strong suit <g>. As I was backing out of the garage the next day (this would be Black Friday, when the car was running rough and I myself wasn't feeling well), I *thought* I'd scraped against something but when I looked back, the only "casualty" I could see was a potted (fake) poinsettia that I intend to set on the porch this Christmas that was now laying on its side.

What I discovered today was I'd also nicked a bag that had some tie-dye supplies in it...one of which was a (fortunately almost empty) bottle of a dark turquoise blue dye from the last time I tie-dyed. Now, not only is there blue on the garage floor, there's blue on some artificial flowers that sit out in a bucket (we put them on Mom's grave in the summer) and some blue on a board that...I honestly don't know its purpose. I wound up going through the busted bag, salvaging what I could and bagging up the rest in a new bag for disposal.

Good thing we're not house-proud...<g>.
