His book sounds interesting--I'll have to look for it at the library.
Same I plan on adding this to my reading list.
OK, I've fallen down a rabbit hole...years ago, when Borders was closing its doors for good, I read an autobiography by an NBA player who was addicted to drugs but later cleaned himself up and became a pastor. I *thought* it was Felton Spencer, center for the Utah Jazz. But Google can't find any books written by him. Nor can Google find ANY books about an NBA player who became addicted to drugs AND later became a pastor, though it did (not so) helpfully tell me I was thinking of Chris Herren, who played for the Celtics briefly in the 1990s and wrote "Basketball Junkie", which detailed his career and addiction to heroin. But he never became a pastor, so I'm pretty sure that wasn't the book I'm thinking of. Anyways...
Have to admit at times I wondered if LW was still around since we haven't heard from him in years.
Well, to be fair, he WAS 88 years old...but yes, I thought we'd lost him several years ago.
