but then it also political, and it had the misfortune of being about a zombie pandemic (and the aftermath) and being released in fall 2019 and pretty much predicted a lot of 2020-2021...people fall into a zombie-like trance and start walking for what seems no reason...the sequel was kinda...not as good or needed, but Wanders did merit the 800 pages or so.

As long as names are not named or fictitious characters are pretty much exact replicas of RL folks, I'd be OK with it.

On a random note, every time I see the author's last name--Wendig--I automatically read it as "Wendigo", a mythological creature I first learned about during the second episode (ever) of the show Supernatural <g>.

The first on your list has two hard nos for me--animal cruelty *and* Satanic rituals. That dark evil really bothers me. I don't mind evil ministers played by Nathan Fillion being dark and evil, nor demons, but...I just can't with Satanic rituals...

Right? Right there with ya.

I'm also interested in Guts, because I love a celeb memoir about addiction...Might have to pick up The Book of Dreams too! Thanks for posting!
