concert we went to Sunday.
We got a hotel room about a 15 minute walk from PPG Paints Arena (home of the Pittsburg Penguins).
To put that into perspective: other concerts we've gone to at PPG we've parked another 5-10 minutes away but driven home that night. But this was a Sunday night and we both worked on Monday so getting to bed? The earlier the better.
So we check into the hotel and drop our bags. We know there's a little "hole in the wall" bar 2 blocks away that we like so we head there. We catch the end of the Steeler game. Have a drink or 2 and dinner.
Make our way to PPG Paints Arena. We've never had floor seats so that took a little time to figure out where to go. The staff was very helpful.
Pat Benatar opened. She played for roughly an hour. While she can't hit the high notes anymore, she hasn't lost any of the power of her voice.
About a 30 minute set change.
Bryan Adams actually started on the "back stage" with just his guitar. 2 songs there including Straight from the Heart.
Bryan played for 2 hours. Mostly his hits, 1-2 from his new album and some audience requests. (via a platform I didn't know was there).
He went back to the "back stage" for 1 more song = "All for Love". Before he disappeared and we made our way to our hotel.
Hubby is admittedly a bigger fan of Pat than he is of Bryan. But he did say it was great show from beginning to end.
