Generally I still shop in stores as opposed to placing online orders but when I do go shopping on the laptop, it's almost always at Amazon. There are just some things I can't find in the local stores. I spent some birthday money recently at Amazon (yes, it took me almost two months to figure out which things on my wish list I wished to finally get <g>) and purchased a Christmas CD, a Snag Nab-it (a small needle with a textured end that some crafters use for fixing embroidery mistakes--my store uses one to fix snags in clothing and I've been wanting one of my own for a while), a macrame hanger for jewelry (I'm out of room to store all my bracelets and necklaces) and a small, portable steamer for de-wrinkling my clothes (I'm also out of room to store my clothes; some get pretty smushed together in the closet and get seriously wrinkled). The last two arrived yesterday...the hanger requires screwing in 30 small hooks into holes pre-drilled into wooden rods and hoo-boy, the holes are a) not very neatly drilled and b) not always lined up nicely. I've only done one row (10 hooks) so far and my wrist and elbow hurt. Also, a couple holes so far are either too deep or too wide; the hooks still can be spun around even when they're flush with the rod. Eh, I'm still pretty happy with the purchase.
I've not used the steamer yet. I've not even taken it out of the box yet but I got a giggle when I saw a statement printed on the box that proudly proclaimed, and I quote, "instantly glow your garment's beauty". I can't wait to give my various garments an instant glow and increase their beauty <g>.
