I've found out it's considered one of the top if not the top volunteer program in the Association.
Not sure how I did it, but I recruited and manage a rock star team of volunteers. And they're all so NICE! Easy to work with, flexible, etc.
One problem is - we only have one woman. Seven men, one woman.
Well, my boss had the idea to add some of our top women who work on advocacy in other areas of the state, especially LA and the Bay Area, where there are large legislative delegations. So, we have more representation in the Capitol.
He got approval to fund their travel and hotel stays up here.
So, we are adding these incredible women to the team. They won't be here for all the hearings; they would come up for major days and our advocacy days about 6-7 times a year.
These women are rock stars in their own right and will only add to the caliber of this team.
Meanwhile I'm still trying to figure out HOW I got so darn lucky.
