Still, I'll take a "boring" baseball game over a hockey or soccer game every day of the week.
I strongly considered going to today's season finale. The season flew by and suddenly I realized I hadn't been to a single game. I don't have anyone right now to go to games with--usually I either go with my bff or I just go by myself. But bff can't really afford to go to a game right now (even though baseball has some of the cheapest seats in pro sports), and if I'm going alone, I strongly prefer to attend a day game. Today's game is at 3:00 and the weather is perfect...but church ran late, then Dad wanted to go look at a car on a used car lot, plus my good church friend went to the ER this morning with various symptoms and I didn't find out until much later that she was OK (or at least there was nothing discernably wrong with her; she will be following up with her GP though) so I reluctantly decided not to go. Besides, I've already had one spontaneous excursion this week (last week, technically...I drove to Akron to see the band I like and didn't get a ticket until 30 minutes before the show). Last night's game sold out; I would've hated to go all the way downtown only to find out today's game sold out at the last minute.
