been a tradition in my Brooklyn neighborhood for 59 years and involves a lot of little kids in costumes parading down the avenue a month before Halloween. It’s very cute because the weather is warm enough so there are no coats ruining the looks of the costumes. It’s a good day to sit in an outdoor cafe sipping coffee and eating brunch while watching the festivities.
