The second opinion was a different problem, but just as expensive.

So I guess we'll see what the other company has to say Tuesday. They seem to do either you buy the new unit outright, or they have a thing where you pay them monthly for 10 years but it includes all the maintenance and covers everything. But then after 10 years, if I understand the literature, you either replace it and start over or have to buy off the rest of the unit. So I don't know if I want to have a continuous expense like that.

Then the guy that came today said that his company is doing like $4k credits if you replace your entire unit with a heat pump, but having had a heat pump for the last 18 years they can keep their $4k.

Closing for selling the condo was today, went well, although I thought I was going to meet the buyer but his closing was scheduled for later in the day.

Anyway, related to the HVAC stuff - I told the notary (who was also doing the buyer's closing) to tell him to get a home warranty because I regretted not getting one, and she said that I have until 90 days to purchase one. Sounds good. But I said, won't they not cover the hvac since I know it's having problems? And she (and the representative of my realtor) both said just don't tell them. 😬 yeah no thanks I like having ethics.

Oh and I think I got overcharged for the listing fee by my realtor, waiting on a response from him now. And the wired funds from the closing probably won't actually hit my account until Tuesday, so no taking out lots of cash and rolling around in it this weekend 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
