raptures. they found it too funky (my dudes---it's Greenhaven/S Land Park, where everyone was either high or trippin' when they decorated these homes in the late 60s and then never redecorated lol; you need to expect that).
It is huge. Shame that with nearly 2,300 in sf, there are only 3 bedrooms. The master is HUGE with two huge closets and it opens onto the back patio. There is a dining room with accordion doors on both sides that I could use for workouts and my office. There is a built-in hutch where I would put everything away so we could also use it as a dining room. It's also away from the bedrooms, so I wouldn't disturb Marty if he is sleeping.
Either way..it needs a lot of updating and some repairs. HVAC and hot water are pretty new; pool looked to be in good shape. Siding seemed OK. Will need cleaning, painting, popcorn ceiling removal and wallpaper removal and painting. and we would probably want to take that ledge out in the family room, maybe even open up that big wall into the living room.
Oh, and one of the bathrooms - the one with the walk-in tub/shower, they painted the counter/sink in there pink. Yeah, not in Cassieland. That would need to be taken out.
They didn't like it was on a somewhat busy street, and M was worried about electricity bills with the pool (not heated though), and the high ceiling with that weird ledge in the family room. It'd be a pain to clean. I could see putting a sleeping/hang out loft up or reading nook up here, IF it holds that weight.
They just weren't feeling it. I saw potential but they did not.
This house is just $450K, and a flipper will win the bidding war by early next week.
Either way, we keep looking.
