I think I also did something similar with "Shameless". And definitely movies I bailed on but ended up watching later and loving them.

What is Dept Q?

A dark, British cop drama about a hot mess of a detective (think "House" but much more hardcore) leading a unit that focuses on cold cases while also investigating a prior shooting that left him wounded, his partner paralyzed and another officer dead.
