yet I watched it anyhow and, dammit, I liked it a lot. I think I'm more invested in Claire's parents than in Jamie's, especially in Claire's dad Henry. He's a very interesting character and the position he's found himself in is compelling. Plus they've thrown us a curveball with the Beauchamp's vs what we know is the only outcome for the Fraser's (Ellen and Brian's respective fates).
The casting is great. The actress playing Julia looks so much like Claire. Young Ned is (chef's kiss) perfect. Brian Fraser even has similar facial expressions to Jamie. I'm fairly indifferent to Ellen tho which is unfortunate since she seems to be the biggest focal point of the show. I love young Jocasta tho.
