customer prescription info it has to be encrypted and patient privacy protected by both the seller and the buyer of the patient data. When I think about it, I guess the same thing happens when a physician practice is closed or sold. But since our healthcare system remains, first and foremost a for-profit big business, patient data is considered to be a valuable asset financially.
