than the first but it came together well. I liked the introduction of Brian, Dexter’s older brother, who was also forced to watch their mom’s grizzly murder. D:OS has been renewed for S2. The end shot of Brian watching the family he never had and Harry knowing he’s out there and LaGuerta suspicious sets up S2. Harry couldn’t kill Brian and Brian didn’t kill Harry.
I think the casting is very good. Patrick Gibson, the Irish actor who is playing 20 yr old Dexter has some of Michael C Hall’s expressions and mannerisms down. PG’s active dialogue and MCH’s narration/inner thoughts mesh so well. I also like Christian Slater as Harry and Molly Brown as Deb.
OS is not as good as the original series but it’s good. I’ve been sucked back into the Dexterverse. After a break, I’ll watch Resurrection.
