but I have had to "upgrade" when the older phone no longer worked quite as well. I started off (as most of us of a certain age did) with a flip phone. I moved on to a phone with a slide out keyboard when the flip phone started giving me trouble. When more and more people demanded I text rather than call, and when businesses started expecting you to have a smart phone, I got a Moto G6. And when the Moto G6 started giving me problems on a regular basis, I moved on to a Google Pixel 6a. That was in August of 2022 and it's the phone I still have. Occasionally I think about getting a newer Pixel or maybe one of the cool Galaxy folding phones...and then I think of something better (for ME) to spend my money on. Granted, I might be more inclined to upgrade if I had a cellphone service that would give me a new phone for no extra charge but I'm with Consumer Cellular, on a relatively cheap monthly plan, so that isn't offered to me.
