Ok, first, the house! I realized I didn't update since their first counter offer about fixing stuff. Well, it was a roller coaster. That Saturday (the 21st), our realtor called us in the morning and said he'd gotten a text and email from the seller's realtor (reminder, also the seller's mother) that they wanted to pull out of the sale entirely and not sell us the house because of the home inspection stuff. My realtor sounded shocked, he said he'd never had someone do that, and he'd try calling them later and see what he could do. In the meantime, I started looking at houses and scheduling tours. We were going to Mr. Kris's niece's graduation party that afternoon, and as we got into the car we got a text from our realtor that the sale was back on and they agreed to fix everything. We were shocked actually (and my mom was definitely disappointed). Still, because of that I was just honestly not sure everything was going to go through.

Later that week we had asked the seller if we could bring in a flooring guy to give us an estimate for taking out the carpet in the bedrooms and putting in hardwood, and replacing this really ugly berber carpet in the basement with luxury vinyl plank flooring. They agreed, and I met the seller. It was interesting. I think she's around my age, maybe a little younger, maybe a little older. I'm bad at guessing lol. Anyway, she is apparently moving into an apartment when she moves out so she is leaving a ton of tools in the garage. Score! We're not certain what exactly she's leaving, but when we went out there during the home inspection there were a bunch of power tools. She's also leaving a leaf blower and a cornhole game. And also asked our realtor later if we wanted her china cabinet - it's really pretty but doesn't go with anything we own but I realized I forgot to respond to the realtor so I guess we'll find out if she leaves it. While I was there, she told me Tesla had come out about the roof leaks and didn't find anything, and that the structural engineer found nothing wrong with the deck or attic truss. We actually got the structural engineer report today and everything is good to go which is such a relief. And Tesla did make repairs so I'm not sure what that was about. There's still a few things left to fix, which we'll find out about on Thursday.

Because Thursday is closing, holy crap. It's sneaking up on us!!!!!

I just signed the estimate for the movers tonight, I wanted to move around the 24th but the only days they had were the 21st or 22nd. The 22nd they only had 3 hours and I just did not think that was long enough so we're moving on the 21st. Soooooo much left to do!!!!

The flooring guys came in with a pretty good estimate and they swear they can get the floors done before the 21st. so that's good. Next week is going to be freaking crazy and I have to work the first four days.

Which, speaking of work, I just found out I'm going to be employee of the quarter!!! I'm guessing it might have something to do with having worked here 25 years this month, but who knows. I'm excited, though!!!
