stores where you have to carefully scrutinize every item of clothing you buy for snags or holes or extra pant legs or whatever <g>. In the 9 months I've been working at my store, I've amassed a pretty impressive wardrobe...only a fraction of what I got was an actual purchase (with my employee discount) from the store. Some pieces came from a local consignment shop, some from Discount Fashion Warehouse (items were barely 1/4 what I would've paid WITH my discount...but again, I had to check for snags, holes, extra pant legs, etc.) and many were free castoffs from co-workers.
I've read a few articles recently about how much waste the fashion industry generates; one article placed the figure at nearly 90 million tons. And yet my store feels the need to offer women a dozen different types of white t-shirts to choose from *sigh*.
