El Chico and I just started White Collar since we're both fans of Matt Bomer (and neither of us could get into Mid Century Modern, which also stars Bomer, because the laugh track was that annoying and jarring :-/).

I was kinda bored with it and ready to suggest giving up on it but wanted to at least get to the first season finale....and the finale...was explosive!

I was getting bored with the case of the week that was all too predictable (Neal cuts off his ankle monitor to catch the bad guy! But can Neal be trusted?) and was much more interested in Neal Caffrey's background, and who Kate was...and I do like Alex.

And I keep wanting Elizabeth (Tiffani Thessien) to be more than the supportive wife...like, I keep waiting for some twist for her character (don't spoil if it's coming or not). I mean, she played Valerie on 90210, and yet this character is blander than Kelly Kapowski so far! (I mean, I loved Zach and Kelly on Saved by the Bell, but I was also a kid when that aired...)

Also love every single appearance Diahann Carroll makes on this show.

After watching The Americans last fall, it was a trip seeing Noah Emmerich as another FBI agent, albeit one that Stan Beeman would not approve of. It's my head canon that the events of The Americans series finale (one of the best finales ever) lead him to being his character on White Collar :)

By the way, we finished The Americans last November, and I'm still missing it.

At any rate, it's entertaining enough, but I might be wanting too much from it. Matt Bomer's eyes go a long way to hold my interest though.

It's about a white collar criminal who talks a FBI agent into letting him collaborate on cases to get out of prison.
