best life his last two years with us (no offense to bff's mom who took great care of him for the five years or so before we got him) and he probably would've been put down if he'd gone to a shelter instead of coming here. One of bff's nephews had said he'd take Leo, but his plan was to shut Leo away in his basement and only provide Leo with the basics: food, water and a litter box. Not acceptable.
