Juice was a lot more stand-offish, more independent. He rarely asked for affection and was cool with just hanging out nearby. A couple months before we got Leo, I came home from work to find Juice asleep in my chair in the living room. When I asked Dad about it, he shrugged and said "It's cold outside, so I opened the door to see if Juice wanted in and he came right in". Juice spent the night with us and then went outside in the morning like nothing happened. He was inside the house a few more times after that, spending anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours (I have a couple cute pics of him napping on my bed). I think if Leo hadn't come along when he did (and didn't hate Juice--mean kitty indeed!), and if the neighbor's hubby had any say in it (he didn't like Juice, mainly because Juice liked to nap in hubby's Corvette and shed all over the seats <first world problem>), Juice would've ended up our cat.
