So Reggie's hunny-bunny Abigail is an alien like him. And on their home planet, she creates the marigold and somehow brings about her death. So ol' Reg decides to...try marigold on another planet to, what, grow superhuman children who will, what, somehow bring Abby back to life? That all made NO sense to me.
Interestingly, I just watched a YT video in which the cast read fan theories off the internet--theories postulated after season three and regarding season four. And almost every fan had better ideas for how season four should've played out than the actual WRITERS. The cast seemed to agree.
