regularly, oh, in the late 1990s or so. After that, I would still catch a skit here or there, either live or sometimes on You Tube, but I can't remember the last time I watched an entire show. Sunday night, I was flipping between the NBA All-Star game* and the SNL special; I was reasonably entertained by almost everything I saw of the special. My favorite part was probably Adam Sandler's song and the skit about how NYC has changed over the years (Adam Driver singing along in a hot dog suit will never not be funny). It was nice to see so many familiar faces, though I really wish Dan Ackroyd had been able to attend (supposedly he had a scheduling conflict).
* OTOH, I was not a fan of the new format for the All-Star game. It's the All-Star game, not All-Star play-in tournament. Also, there was way too much of the Inside of the NBA crew and way, WAY too much Kevin Hart. I like KH just fine but a little of him (no pun intended) goes a long way for me, and I felt the players were taking a backseat to these guys. And I actually wound up missing much of the game; almost every time I flipped away from the SNL special to the game, I saw either KH, the guys from Inside the NBA or a commercial. The music was great through.
