and a cat is the lead character. I watched this last night at home OnDemand. I wish I had seen it in a theater. But it was still great at home. I loved it. It’s a Latvian animated film that tells the story of a cat who loses his home to major flooding. It’s a beautiful film, like no other animated film I’ve ever seen. I both smiled and cried during this movie. It’s not just for cat lovers. Other animals, including a Golden Retriever, a lemur, a capybara and a bird get caught up in the survival adventure with Cat. It is not in Latvian because, LOL, animals don’t speak Latvian or French or English. There is no human language dialogue. It debuted at Cannes and has a 97 tomato rating. It has won a lot of awards on the film festival circuit as well as a Golden Globe. It was nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA and Independent Spirit Award. I loved it so much, I want to watch it again. I watched it on HBO Max but I think it is available elsewhere like Amazon Prime, Hulu and Apple TV.
