Lots of people who work attend mass on holidays. It's nice to see them.
My contractor said, for what it's worth, that he was going to come to the house today to do the final walk through. No scheduled time. He hasn't shown up. It's 2pm, so I doubt he'll be here today. Surprised....not really.
I sent my landscaper a list of what I wanted done. It was rather lengthy, so he called to discuss details and priorities. He's going to give me an estimate to do the cover for the patio. We've decided to only cover the patio at the back of the house, not the side. We'll do that first so I can get an estimate from the local company that does gutters. Hopefully we'll get the cover on in the next few weeks, then we'll work on the gutters.
Instead of grass, we're looking at artificial turf that is pretty close to grass. We're also discussing pavers and a fire feature (firepit, but not sure what type of fuel) and pavers under the gates to keeps animals from trying to dig in or out and to cover the area where my daughter parks her vehicle.
Looking forward to having the room handed over to me so we can order blinds, furniture (sofa and table with a lifting surface), and cabinet and sink.
Wish us luck as we mark (I won't say celebrate) Presidents' Day. It's for all of 'em, the good and the not so hot.
