First, in E12, Walter mowed down the two dealers who had killed 11-yr old Tomas and were about to kill Jesse. The one that Walt didn’t kill with his car, he shot in the head. Then in the season finale, Jesse killed Gale, the cook Gus planned to replace Walt and Jesse with. New lines were crossed. In the beginning of S4, Jesse’s not coping well with what he did and Walt is planning to kill Gus. I’m four episodes into S4 right now.
