You Shouldn't Have Come Here -- NY girl comes to WY for some R&R at an AirBnB run by a hottie who is awkard. Missing woman story in the background. I can't really say to much w/o giving away the plot, but honestly one of the worst books I've read. It took me forever to get throught it and when I did I was like seriously, that's the ending. I should have put it down after chapter 2.
I got it in one of those buy 2 get 1 frees from Target. Usually, with books I wont read again, I try to donate them to the free libraries in my area but this was so bad, I don't know if I should inflict it on anyone.
Blue Sisters - Takes place a year after the third of four sisters has passed away and how it has changed the other three. Nicky (the dead sister) had a chronic illness, but was self-medicating and overdosed. No one saw the signs b/c she was a teacher, a good sister, the middle child peacemaker. I really enjoyed this one. There are a few parts that are very trite and trope (esp. in terms of birth order), but I think it did a great job of explaining the bond of sisterhood when you've grown up in a family of trauma, what you think an addict looks like vs what addiction is, co-dependency, guilt.
