flashier. Something more visually interesting (though we both loved the human American flag). Something more toe-tapping. Highly unpopular opinion but I miss the days when entertainers entertained. Now many feel the need to educate, to inform...to settle disputes on big stages.
The commercials were OK. I prefer funny commercials to serious ones, and unfortunately, with the exception of the Mountain Dew commercial with Seal the seal (which only really works if you know who Seal is and are familiar with his most popular song) and the Pringles commercials with flying eyebrows and mustaches, I didn't laugh. Many of the commercials felt far too serious and "important" for me (like Harrison Ford, who I love, equating driving his...whatever he drives with freedom, and not just "freedom of the open road"). And yes, while I was happy with the outcome of the game, it wasn't exceptionally exciting.
