I loved it. I love shows like this...small towns full of quirky characters
Echoing Leia here...if you haven't watched Northern Exposure yet, I highly recommend you check it out. It might be the quirkiest of quirky small town shows <g>.
I think my favorite characters was Kirk. LOL! But I loved pretty much everyone except maybe Taylor.
I hope we weren't supposed to like Taylor because honestly, there was never even a single moment where I thought he was even an OK guy. Kirk OTOH is lovely! I think if I had to pick a favorite character, it would be Lane.
And this may be controversial, but my favorite Rory love interest was Jack Pearson, err....Jess. Ha
Actually, I think that's many fans' preferred love interest for Rory. Or if not, he's a close second behind Logan. Some fans think young Jess was wrong for Rory but think the adult Jess who gets his life together in the four-part "Day in the Life" series on Netflix is perfect for her.
Me? I was Team Dean at the beginning and am STILL salty that they essentially ruined his character to make Bad Boy Jess seem more appealing. And I *never* liked Logan. I was mad at Rory when she missed her mother's graduation in order to be with Jess but I felt that was an honest mistake. Rory (along with Logan) stealing a boat was awful and felt a little out of character for her (though maybe the writers thought it was typical young person rebellion?). I really felt Logan brought out the worst in Rory, and I'm a little baffled that the Rory/Logan pairing has so many fans.
