(the one time I drove Dad's manual transmission vehicle just around the block, Mom got calls from the neighbors asking what was wrong with the car). I've always only ever driven in "drive" and have never even attempted to shift gears. I've heard that shifting to a lower gear should give me more traction but I don't know if that's actually true or not.
